When I look into your eyes,
I see myself perched on top of the tallest tree, gazing
into a blue crystal sea, feeling of a cool breeze blowing
ever so gentle against my face, like a breath of fresh air
I indulge to taste, feeling so alive when I look into your eyes.
I see yourself surrounded by a glimmer of light, ever
so bright with every blink of your eyes is like a passing wave
that is never the same, when I look into your eyes.
You have a smile that melts my heart, which inspires
me to continue my art, from my soul to yours wishing never to be apart.
I see a seagull soaring through the ocean-blue sky without a care
or worry from your soul, are you real or am I dreaming
at times I just don’t know. I wish we can be together night
and day but we always seem to go our separate ways, where at times
it feels like swimming against a strong stream,
sensing you always wanting to please, somehow leaves me
at ease, like a seagull soaring through the ocean blue skies,
is just knowing the best things in my life are free,
When I look into your eyes.

There is a wonderful permanent Steichen exhibition in Luxemburg, where he is originally from. I recommend it to everyone who ever travels there!
